Hiya Chas, Well if you are closing down for a week then it is probably a good idea to leave your pipes in fresh water. A good idea also is to switch your flash coolers or remote coolers off, just in case they freeze over.Turn your beer gas off as well.
If you clean your beer lines on the Sunday then even if you are closed on Monday your beer should be fine and should not need to  be pulled off. If you get your beer lines properly clean every week then you should never have to pull off any beer before session. Have a look at this link http://www.inndoctor.co.uk/money-saving/money-going-down-the-drain/
Hope this helps, cheers Boz.
PS Switch the coolers back on at least 4 hours before you intend to serve beer.

I run a social club with two bars, when the hall bar is not being used that week I leave water in the lines after cleaning. It means the beer isn't being wasted and it's fresh when we do pull it through. I've had a nightmare trying to get everything sorted in there and have never run a pub/club before either, but with a lot of hard work it's finally coming together

Big savings can be made that way but water can stagnate in the line if left for a long period, so its always best to draw clean water through when you are cleaning the other lines. The stagnant water taste and smell is worse than stale beer. Good to hear you are getting it all together.

Hi Chas, The remote cooler is a big box like device that sits near your cellar. It will have all sorts of pipes coming out of the top. This is the one you need to turn off. The Hubard cooler is your cellar cooler. This blows cold air around your cellar, you should leave this on. Cheers Boz.
