Carling Dispenser

While we are on the subject of designers and drip trays. What about the Carling Font yet another dispenser designed by people who don’t have to work with it. The taps aren’t really designed for hooking bucket handles while cleaning and the tray has one of those slopes that you have to balance the bucket on. So how many of you have had a bucket full, fall to the floor, it has happened to me twice now and I don’t think that will be the final count.

Stop moaning,
The font looks the part and has helped to improve sales in the quieter pubs on my patch.
Instead of whinging about it why don’t you stick a block of wood on the driptray to level it out, then you can rest your petrol tanker sized cleaning bucket on it.
Just don’t blame the local Technician when you rip it off the bar.

try connecting a piece of pipe to each tap leading to a bucket,or even better straight to the sink .

Who ever said that practicallity was something the designers of bar fonts ever bore in mind…It is effect first and then practicallity.Have a look at the Draught Guiness drip tray, don’t look too hard it will break just looking at it.
