I’ve just taken on a new pub and I noticing that my johns smiths is poring very slow and also a little flat.
The 70;30 mixed gas is full and is also connected to guinness line.

The guinness is pouring just fine but problem is with JS.

where is the likely fault

Thanks

  1. First off ,check the obvious. I know it sounds daft but make sure the diffuser is clear of all obstructions. The flatness you talk about is due to the slow speed of dispense.
If thats ok it could mean the flow control underneath the tap has been over adjusted and the product is serving too slow. You could check this yourself, it is not dangerous. Find the flow control and turn it anti clock wise and see if that makes any difference. Also check the gas pump if one is fitted is turned on,and also the secondary valve that feeds your J.S. Failing that you are best calling out Tech Services it could be the secondary gas valve is either faulty or it may have been messed about with.
The Guinness is on a seperate secondary gas regulator.
    Hope that helps.
