The Carlsberg Draughtmaster comes in 2 designs the Flex 20, a small mobile unit for outdoor or small spaces and the Modula 20, a fixed system. The Modula 20 would probably be used in a medium sized restaurant or pub. Beer is delivered in large PET kegs, where compressed air is pumped into the pressure chamber and the keg is squeezed, pushing the beer up into the tap.
No CO2 is needed with this system as compressed air is used. Beer shelf life is increased from 7 days to 31 days with Draughtmaster and because it is a closed system, line cleaning is far more flexible with the process only taking a few minutes. The empty 20 litre containers are designed to be recyclable in the normal way, saving storage problems. This system also comes at a cost.
