  1. Hello Sarah,
Common problem, you are not on your own.I don’t have an answer(apart from towel drying which used to work but we’re not allowed to do that anymore). There will be someone along soon with a good, viable, answer.

  2. Hi Sarah,I understand your problem. Starting at the beginning is your glasswasher in good order. Make sure detergent and rinse aid are fully topped up and connected to the right tubes, it has been known to get these the wrong way round. Always use good quality products for best results. When the clean cycle has completed do your glasses come out warm to touch? If you clean glasses at high temperature the problem of spotting can be reduced. Make sure the heating element in your machine is working and that the clean water is hot enough.
Regular glass renovating is a must and will eliviate detergent build up. Having mentioned a few potential causes I think it is probably the rinse cycle that is causing the problem, and glasses are not being rinsed enough. If you know how, strip and clean the rotating spray heads making sure they are all clean and not blocked.
Hope this helps, let me know how you go on. Cheers.

  4. hi
You can do the rinse test in your machine put 5 pint glasses the right way up one in each corner and one in the middle of the basket run the machine. At the end of the cycle all the glasses should have the same amount of water in the if they don’t then the machine is not washing and rinsing properly.you would then have to get the machine supplier in to reset the machine.
    hope this helps.

  6. I went into a pub and asked for a glass of red wine, the barman picked up a glass, held it up to the light, rejected it, picked up another, rejected it, the third was deemed ok. Pathetic, isn’t it. Also in a flagship Youngs pub in london, i got a wine glass with lipstick on it. The barman was drying glasses with the filthiest gey tea towel. I wrote a letter of complaint, and the area manager said she had investigated, and the teatowel was clean and fit for purpose. She did concede it was gray from old age and had "all the tea towels replaced". The fact is, most pubs are only just ok, very few are excellent all round. There are still loads of pubs that should be shut – no welcome when you walk in, poor service, poor beer, poor loos, I assume the root cause is that landlords are not making adequate profits, so they don’t try…………
